Marlon L Inestroza

Biography

Marlon Inestroza is a native San Franciscan who earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at the California Polytechnics State University in San Luis Obispo. Marlon is currently an active Registered Healthcare Information Technologist (RHIT) where he earned his Associate of Science Degree at the City College of San Francisco. Also, Marlon has a Master Certificate in Project Management where he completed a formal program at the George Washington University, District of Columbia.

Marlon has over 20 years of experience on Information Technology (IT): 8 years in Sales and 10 years of Project Management. Marlon worked 12 years with IBM as a vibration engineer and high-speed cabling designer in Boca Raton, Florida, as well as a system engineer in Unix system. He led the Salesforce training and assisted the sales team in marketing Computer-Telephony solutions in Puerto Rico.

Later, Marlon worked for Advanced Cellular Systems as an MIS Manager responsible for managing billing system, restructuring Data Center, and implementing the Lotus Notes Customer Complaint Tracking System.

Marlon had worked for the Oracle Corporation in Miami, Florida as a Principle Sales Consultant and Principle Project Manager. He spent two years in sales and responsible for leading the Latin American Salesforce in the Telecommunication industry. Marlon had assisted in delivering sales presentations and business proposals, as well as the headquarter development team to improve databases to meet the common cellular client requirements. Marlon also worked as a Project Manager responsible for implementing new and existing data centers at Oracle in Miami, FL and in Oracle Brazil.

Marlon became an independent consultant and offered his service to OptiCopper Technologies. He assisted with cabling network infrastructure projects to Puerto Rico government accounts, and implemented power generators.

Marlon had transitioned his career from IT arenas to the healthcare world, exploring new opportunities. Marlon worked as a volunteer at Kaiser Permanente and at San Francisco Jail verifying and filing medical records. Marlon became a caregiver to help and learn about elderly behavior and health conditions that impact quality of life for elders. Marlon took care of his mother, aunt, and other recipients during their latter part of their lives and observed their suffering and pains from the bedsores that they acquired while lying in bed for a long time. Marlon recognized the problem and began research on pressure ulcer statistics, interview with nurses, and later spent nine years designing a patented medical device that can stop skin injury due to immobility while lying in bed.

Marlon had joined the Taproot Foundation and volunteered to work on four project management projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, implementing the Salesforce database and web development.

Marlon formed a company called Golden MedTools, Inc. in June 2015 that specializes in designing medical tools to aid bedridden and limited mobile individuals to prevent skin damage, provide better comfort, and maintain their independence without assistance. Marlon’s goal is not only to deliver a solution for individuals around the globe and stop/prevent skin injury. His goal is more importantly to save lives.
